Newfoundland and Labrador is Canada's most easterly province and is comprised of the Island of Newfoundland, and Labrador, attached to mainland Canada via Quebec. With over 400,000km² of rugged land and 29,000km of coastline, this is what it feels like at the edge of time, the edge of adrenaline, the edge of North America.

Perched on the Atlantic ocean, the capital city of St. John's is the oldest city in North America and is our province's cultural and economic centre. But it's just the start of our adventure, because with four cruising regions - Central, Eastern, Labrador and Western - we've got more than enough wonder for all our visitors.

So start by taking a step back with 9,000 years of stories through Aboriginal, Viking and European discovery... enough to fill 2 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, 4 National Parks, 10 National Historic Sites and 150 museums. Next, go farther with fjords, tablelands and our world-famous rocky coastline. Away from it all, our scenic panoramas are filled with disbelief. They're a secret that's only just being shared. Finally, relax. With the most pubs per square foot in Canada and a legendary passion for a song, dance and a traditional meal, having fun is in our nature.

Sounds like a lot to take in? It is. But it's how we like it. Because we're a place that has it all... undiscovered and untouched, it's an experience beyond all else. And with every port clinging to the edge of this great continent, no two moments are alike.

Our rich heritage of dramatic events and cultural expression breeds a colourful culture. We live in colourful houses. We welcome visitors into our homes. We tell unique stories. So we think it's time you learn more... start by exploring our regions, top experiences, or ports.
